I liked the use of visuals in Blood Diamond. The scenes with soldiers running through the thick forest, over the mountains, with a sunset backdrop were very powerful. In this beautiful setting something ugly was happening: people and villages were being destroyed. The shots reiterated the devastation of what was once beautiful.
